bronze anneal

I have acquired some bronze wear plates that are harder than woodpecker lips. Is the annealling process for bronze the same as for brass?

For the most part the copper alloys start to anneal at about 450F . There are some alloys that are precipitation hardening which may be a little different . Do you know the alloy ?.

I haven't a clue as to the alloy, 'cept one batch was called carbon impregnated. Both batches have then same color oxidation. Thanks Mete.
