What did you use to write on the electrical tape?

Couple of thoughts:
Using tape is pretty crude and would make it pretty hard to cut in tight corners. Others who have posted similar stuff on here use wax or nail polish. You could also make a template out of plastic or wax paper - particularly handy if you want to repeat the same mark. DC allows you to etch (or plate if you reverse the charge). AC will leave the black marks that you often see as manufacturers marks. Do DC, then AC to make deep, dark marks. Keep the amp LOW; voltage as well, or risk serious harm. Professional electro marking devices have different solutions for different metals. Salt and vinegar is pretty simple but might not do the best on some materials. Rinse well or risk serious corrosion. __________________ God bless Texas! Now let's secede!! |
