Glad you like it!! The wood is Cottonwood from the classifieds here by Dave. I need to ask him if he can get more of it, as I was wanting that wood for a knife for me but I messed up the original scales I had set aside for your knife. I really liked the depth of the burl in it. It was my first knife to use superglue to fill in some voids, there were quite a few of them.

Again, glad you like it!

Jim,
I've been out of town pretty much for two weeks on business and haven't had much time to chat with the camera guy for some nice photos of your knife you sent me. He said he'd be very glad to give it a try and I'm sure he'll take some very nice photos. I should see him at work tomorrow and hopefully get them back this week then I can do some photoshop if anything is needed.

Jim and All,
I finally got a few decent pics of the knife Jim made. These still aren't professional quality as the knife deserves (Still working on that) but they're pretty good photos compared to what I'm used to taking!!

Enjoy. The knife is truly beautiful as you can see. The cactus (green) has a Santa had (red). And the Texas flag is a nice addition as well.

Much nicer pictures than I can take Alan.

That was my first try at carving. Wish it came out better. I hope you enjoy the knife.

Jim

That was carved??? I had assumed you had it laser etched somewhere...now I'll have to inspect it closer! ....I just went and looked at the knife closer again and I still can't tell it was done by hand. NICE JOB! Did you use paint for the coloring in the grooves?

The carving is the lines on the pearl and bolster. The pictures were engraved by Tim Herman.
