Just the word "Randall" alone is worth a few $

If seller # 2 puts the word "Randall" in his auction title he makes an additional $150.00. Ain't e-bay wonerful.

Thanks, Chief. Sometimes I just get a little burnt out. I'm glad you're carrying my weight too

BoBlade, ain't you something to have found that! Keep him on his toes Chief. We've got to keep him on the well worn path. He does get led astray sometimes but, not by a girl. He's too old for that foolishness Now, an old Randall is a completely different story! Come to think of it, a lot of us can be had by those. Most of us can even be had by a new Randall. I've got one of those itches myself right now and Calamine lotion don't help a bit either.

Very good example Ron, of how adding the "R" word to a sharpening stone listing can enhance one's auction return. (I'm sure this will remain our little secret.)

I do eBay searches primarily just to watch the action and learn from the correct or incorrect descriptions, and of course to see who wins. However lately, it always seems to be "Bidder #1!

I also always keep an eye out for that elusive Randall that I must have. Although during the last couple of years or so, I haven't seen as many that have tempted me in the past. I believe this is a reflection of the current after market for RMK, where prices for the more common knives are fetching higher and higher prices, while many of the more unusual ones seem to be staying in collections.

When I do my search of listing titles using the "R" word, I usually get and average of 800 items that invariably include 95% of non-RMK things. Occasionally some of these are of interest to me anyway. I will try to show you folks some examples at a later date.

Cheers!

Moosehead

Moosebreath: I find that "good knives" seem to come in streaks on e-bay: Long dry spells and then 2 or 3 in a row. Sometimes I'll buy one only to wish that I had bought two when the next dry spell hits.

Chief: If you got skinny or clammed up I wouldn't recognize you nor would I want to
