What about bank money orders? The buyer has to wait until his funds get to the seller before the item is shipped but it does protect the seller? Frank

Bank MOs can be stolen from a bank or fake. Often putting a Bank check in your account it is not checked for validity right away, so it might go into your account and then at a later time be found to be fraudulent, then you are out the mnoey and the knife.

Safest ways are Western Union, they deal with cash only. Wire Transfer to your bank acct, as they have no way to get the money bcak, and Paypal, because even though the person may try and get his money back, if you have proof you sent the merchandise Paypal will cover up to $1000.00.

Also if you look in another thread, started by Tracy Mickley if you see the signs stay away!

Hope that helps Frank

Dealing with internationals in Brazil is quite a trick... I only take paypal and direct bank deposits or wire transfer. Has worked fine with all my costumers. In ocasion one asks for Western Union wich is fine for me, except that I have to walk to the bank to get cash. I take credit cards through Paypal but I always ship after I get confirmation and get the money downloaded to bank account. Costumers are told that before we close de deal. I had one guy insisting in using diret credit once, one that didn?t want to use paypal and gave me hard time over a month. Never got into his talk though... and the guy kept comming back saying how big he was amongst collectors in the California area and how much business he could get for me if I would take plastic and so on...
