access blocked

Well they finally did it to me.
The powers to be blocked my access at work. This site is forbidden because it is a weapons site.
It will be difficult to spend time checking out the forums and making knives in the evening. I will still have to have my forum fix once in awhile but I can?t spend as much time here as I would like. This really bums me out.

Oljoe,

Just curious...........you wouldn't be working for Weyerhaeuser by any chance, would you?
Sounds just like what I run into at work quite often. Anything that has any reference to knives, guns, ammo, etc. are forbidden. Can't even check Leupold's site for a pair of binoucluars, they are blocked as a weapons site, too.

There is a real paranoia within Weyerhaeuser about any kind of potential weapons.

Andy,
Thanks for the response but I don?t think that I want to rock the boat by asking for favors.

Mike,
I don?t work for Weyerhaeuser. I work for a major Telephone company and the people that control our internet access aren?t even in the same state.
The funny thing is that some of the knife forum sites are blocked and some are not. I just got into a British forum today but they speak a different language.

Joe

Big Brother!

This week they blocked a site that only makes software for us. When I tried to get it unblocked, the security folks said they couldn't do that because "then everybody in the company could access the site". Amazing.
