The forging stuff caught my eye. I have that same machine already. It would be a nice deal if it goes off below a grand. You could save on shipping if they kept the pakka or diamond wood.

Although I don't need any of this stuff I was interested enough to ask the seller a question. I asked if the knifemaker was a maker that we may have heard of. If so the people here may be willing to spend a little more for a sick brother.

Then I asked how all the items were new. Did someone just buy them and want to start knifemaking when he got sick?

Here is the reply:

Hi...the person we are selling this for wasn't a custom knifemaker. He just wanted to take it up as a hobby. We are in a small town in the Midwest (in the middle of nowhere). He bought all the equipment but never made any knives before he got sick. We will not disclose his name to protect his privacy. Thanks for your interest and good luck bidding!
