Thanks for your kudos, Sam. It was fate that put Tom together with Bo.
I never seen no stinkin' 7-3 before, Bill. Let alone one handled by Tom. Water buffalo horn for the handle? |

Yes Sir. And a very colorful one to boot!

Here is my GTR with a Warthog handle. The telltale "L" etched beside the Randall logo is a dead giveaway as to who assembled this one!
What's really neat is to have it mated up with a Leschorn made sheath as well! |

Nice! That could have easily been one of Jack Crider's knives that Rhett sold in his "Green Catalog". (I double checked and I'm sure you did as well).
Got any more you want to pull out of your magician's hat? |

Hi Bill and Ron!
Thanks for posting your Tom Leschorns. I've never seen such a varied collection of unique pieces crafted by this all-time great RMK artist! Like Sam, I'm sorry I have none to contribute. Cheers! Here is another oddball Bear Bowie. I have included a couple of pictures of Gary Randall's example in the museum also.

That is an oddball, Bill. Without the "L" and seeing the one in the museum, I'd have doubts.
This is no Leschorn knife, but he "may" have been the artist that did this wood carving that came up on ebay a decade or so ago. The deer depictions sure looks like his work in any event. : It looks like the most recent model is the Guardian, which dates this to the late seventies. Speaking of Model 2's......Here is one that I lust for!

I saw that one when it came up for auction (Not ebay). If it had been a Model 3, then I'd be posting a pic of it in this thread

Miniature Model 13-4" and a mini mini Don Hedrick to match!

Thanks for the eye candy, Bill. Couple of questions:
Is that the original sheath? Looks a bit newer than the knife. Don's mini-mini copy is so good, it looks like he may have had the original in hand when he made it. Do you know if this is the case? |
