We must be The Rodney Dangerfield's

CKD must be the Dangerfields of
the Knifemaking Magazines..
Just read another article
about Knife related web-sites
and no mention of CKD
anywhere.. unless i overlooked it??

Maybe we need to start our own
magazine just about the CKD

They don't seem to be very friendly, do they?

You are dead right.

I happen to know that in under three years, Atlanta Virtual - through all its hosted or related sites - has moved easily ten million clicks through the turnstyles of knife-related websites around the world.

I challenge you to find one mention of Alex Whetsell, Atlanta Virtual or the CKD in any knife magazine.

I've submitted more than a dozen freelance articles to all of the glossies, just this year. I track these submissions very closely for obvious reasons. I readily admit that some are rejected, and rightly so, just for very poor writing or photography.

One thing is abundantly clear, however. If I mention, or even quote, Alex Whetsell or Atlanta Virtual in an article, the submission goes right into the trash can - with no response whatsoever.

These are not our friends.

This begs the question why some of us want to spend real money, advertising the CKD Forums in those mags, doesn't it?

Sam

With all the talent that is at the CKD and with the influx of new people from across the world, The CKD will not be ignored for long! Like Drac said, QUALITY!

Time, a very short time, will tell.
