Road to Perdition...
We just came back from the theater and saw this flick. It's an interesting mix of 'art' and 'violence'.
There is truly art in the music, the characterizations, the scenes and *especially* the lighting. (Tom Hanks was not as convincing as all the other characters--he's as sullen as Harrison Ford usually is, and THAT'S pretty dry. Still he plays a good role.) The story is *very* engaging and there's no lack of gunshots to have you spill your popcorn. It has a remedial ending, but it's 100% Hollywood. I give it a thumbs up... It's been compared to the Godfather. No, not that good, I'm afraid. Anyone else? Coop |
