Randall stopped using pins on stick tangs in the fifties. They do not get come backs involving the lack of pins. RW used to use Acraglas only, and it is pretty much good forever.

I can honestly say I have not heard that before, it makes sense I just had not thought about it or really considered it was a possibility. If that is true then I will definitely be pinning, but more likely using loveless or corby bolts in the future. I am looking to make heirlooms, not something that is used for a few years and then falls apart. Is the same true for JB weld?

I can't tell you specifically about JB Weld. I use Acraglas which is good for 100 yrs.
