Hang in, Ed, and do what the Drs. say.

Someday you'll be as old as I am.

Cindy just got me home from the Endoscopy.....no Ulcers, but the Doc found what he called two lesions on the inside of my stomach. He said that is what has been causing all the pain. He gave me Carefate and told me to stop taking the nexxium. Said with the Carefate, things should heal up in a few weeks.

Now we just wait on the lung biopsy......and as I've already said, are praying for a good report.

I'd sure just like to get back to feeling like myself again, and being able to work in the shop!

I think I'm gona put the computer down now, and Doze off for a while......between the ribs and the scope, I feel like a truck ran over me.

Aagain, thanks for all the support and prayers! You folks are the best!

Today has been a tough one. I only got about two hours of sleep last night...and that was oxycodone induced. The rest of the night I laid awake with my mind going all kinds of crazy directions. I finally broke down this morning, hitting my knees and crying out to God to take this pain away, and let me get back to being myself again. I've just never felt this bad, or been this tired, for this long in my entire life.....and it's just wearing me down.

Please keep praying for me!

Hi Ed,

Cheryl's away visiting these two characters down in Texas. She's taking them to church tomorrow morning and said she's going to ask the pastor if they can keep you in mind and say a little prayer for you during service.

Sorry to go a bit off topic, but you work on whatever it takes to get better sooner rather than later.

Take care, Craig

Ed hang it there Bud, when I got no where else to turn I lay it all in God's hands, I have always heard he will not give you more than you endure but, occasionally I have to remind him that I feel I am at that limit!
Just makes me feel better to have a long conversation with the Lord!

Thanks everyone!

I crawled out of bed this morning, and within 1/2 hour was feeling so weak and tired that I called the Doc's office to see if I could be seen.....awaiting a return call. When it was time to take the meds they prescribed for my stomach lesions, I took a chance and gulped down a bottle of 5-hour energy....that made me feel a little better for about an hour.
The last time I was in to see this Doc, he took my BP....it was 189/90! He grabbed the front of my shirt and said "Ed! CALM DOWN!" Just can't figure out how that's done. At that time I asked him if all this weak and tired stuff could be related to the "spots" on my lungs.....he flat told me no, and said that it was more likely stress causing it. He prescribed me 1/2mg tablets of Adivan at that time....which made me sleep better, but after they were gone, the "weak and tireds" were back again. Stress? I thought I had learned how to cope with that after all those years in the military?? Maybe not.

I gotta ask the question...do the medical wheels turn as slowly for everybody else as they have for me? The CT scan was back in mid April, it took until the end of May to get a biopsy performed, and it will be the end of this week before I see the Doc and get the results...then if treatment is necessary, I can't help but think that will be another long wait....is our medical system that over crowded?
Makes me think about all the horror stories I've heard from my friends up in Canada, about how long some folks have had to wait for treatment(s), and about how some have been flat refused?? Just thinking out loud.
HEY! My stomach just growled a little bit! Haven't had that feeling in a while....maybe that's a good sign!?
