We did have a great time, as always!

And, Chris, don't forget: "Inclusions add character to the blade!"

Don,

Thanks for letting us come out to your place. It was nice meeting all you guys too, Putting faces with your posts really helps!

I guess the highlight was getting to beat some yellow hot steel and barely flaten it, then watch Don tap it a couple of times and shape it right before my eyes. Thanks for explaining how you weld and fold your work, since I don't forge, you made it easy to understand.

Bill

Glad y'all enjoyed it!

Chris,
I think the better quote was "If you show up and Don's the only one close a boiling tub of something, you ought to back up with the others..."

John did some looking and the yellow wood is agarita. It was used as dye by Spanish explores as well as a parachute dye during WWII. If it can dye nylon...it ought to be a lasting color!

Next one will most likely be at Stanley's place.

One more quote we forgot: "If Don is approaching a piece of equipment with a lighter in his hand, evacuate immediately!!"

Afraid I didn't take many, but here is one of Donnie testing out his new bluing tank. It turned out the best rust soup I'd ever seen.

You will notice that Donnie is the only one brave enough to stand close enough to it.

I guess I should feel proud. Cropping me out of a picture improves it as much as any magic that Coop adds to his photos!

I'm not going to speak for Stan, but I suppose he deserves some credit as well!
