Carpathian Utility Knife

Hi, Just finished this one for a friend that wanted a box opening, string cutting utility type knife. He also requested a partially serrated blade but I grind after heat treat and I forgot
I'll get it back from him latter to see if I can somehow do this without messing things up.

3" etched O1 blade
Black Micarta with Carpathian elm overlay
7" O.A.L.

Thanks for looking and ANY/ALL comments welcomed and appreciated...Dave

Thumbs up

You are really producing some great blades .
All the work I have seen from you so far has been absolutely stunning.

This one's no exception.

How much knives have you made at all? As far as I can remember it haven't been that much.

Just guessing here, but I'd bet that once your customer has this beauty in his hands, he'll change his mind about the serrations. Definitely a unique design, oozes character

Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate them. The Stabilized Carpathian Elm Burl is some beautiful wood, I wanted to use Ebony but I didn't have any on hand and thought it would look nice with a black background, Dave

I'll just chime in with everyone else. What a beauty! I really like the closed geometry, very nice lines and flow.

This is a nice folder. The color tones are what catches my eye. I've never heard of they species of elm, but it's sure highly figured, exceptional. I like the overall profile when closed. Thanks for showing this!
