Wayne,
I thought you would have said your sheath is "crimson"! Seriously...nice knife! I often wonder exactly what all of these knives look like that I send out. There just isn't enough time to look at each and every one of them. The grind on this one is just what the doctor ordered! Good luck with it. I don't look in here very often, but I am glad I made an exception tonight! Best, Captain Chris Stanaback

Cap,

Thanks for the kind words on my Stanaback Special.

By the way, you are correct, I should have said "crimson sheath", that would have been more appropriate for me!!!
Wayne

Looks like a "Stanaback Special" / Slab Sided to me. It may have red and metal spacers, but I cannot be sure. All just a guess anyway! Best, Captain Chris Stanaback

Right on, Cap!

It's impossible to sneak one past you.

The spacers are black and brass, but for this you can't be faulted.

Cheers!

More Stanaback Specials

The Stanaback Special is one of my favorite RMKs. It's a very practical design and the options flexibility allows you to customize them for any purpose. Here are two recent deliveries that I had made up as a pair of "all arounders".

Thanks to the good Cap'n for accomodating the changes from my original order.

Specs:
one 4"
one 4 5/8"

Both have:
NS hilts
Aluminum and Black Spacers
22-style handles
Black Micarta
Crow's Beak Butt Caps
Wrist Thongs

Captain,

Very nice, very clean design!

Will you please tell us (newbe's) the different options available on your RMK design?

Thanks (in advance),

tom

Stanaback Special

We have a thread for most of the Randall Made Knives but not one for Captain Chris Stanaback's Special. Here is my RMK/SS. I mailed a deposit to the Captain for a fighter style SS with double brass hilt, leather grip and brass butt cap.

Let's see your Stanaback Special.
