How long will this kydex holster craze last?

Recently Ive been doing a ton of research on kydex and all its capabilities. Its seems there there's quite a bit of opportunity to be successful producing quality items with this stuff. So my question to you and any other successful holster makers out there is: How long do you see the kydex holster market growing especially for the typical hobbyist, I guess what im asking is do you think the competition will be to great to remain profitable anytime soon or do you thing this niche of homemade kydex holsters is here to stay?

hope that made sense

That is a hard question to answer in a few short words. But I believe any product that is made properly by and individual can continue to be profitable and will continue to be popular as long as the quality and innovation is there. As long as these traits exist then the demand will exist.

I have been a fly tier for over 40 years and I used to ask myself, how long would my work be accepted and in demand. The real question should have been how hard was I willing to work to develop my own style and techniques to set myself apart from others.

In my opinion if you ask any Master Fly Tier, Master Knife Maker, Master Engraver or Master Sheath Maker you will get similar response.

Bottom line its your own work, drive and desire to learn new things that sets you apart from others and will control the popularity of the product, not the material being used.

I may not be agreed with on this, but that?s my opinion.

Jeff

For what my opinion may be worth, I agree with Jeff 100%, so just mark me "ditto". It's not the material, it's the maker.
