Trackrock Spring Hammer-in

Mark Williams and I are trying to set a date on a Spring Hammer-in at Trackrock Campgrounds near Blairsville, GA. Many of you showed some interest in this when I visited Pop's shindig last year. If you're interested keep an eye on the Outpost Forum we've started a thread there concerning the event. We will give more details as time allows. This is a family camping type affair and last september was a lot of fun and educational to boot.

Two months Guys. I hope that everyone can come and enjoy the beautiful scenery and learn a little about knife and sheath making.

Here's some pictures from last fall.

A few more

Seems like it was just a few days ago!

Carl and Mark, my friends---Those photos reminded me of that wonderful week end as if it had just happened. I hope that Chuck, Pat, Jerry, and the others that attended can all return---with a whole bunch more. My home will be open to all and I would love to entertain with a little sheath making demo for all who would care to attend. Perhaps I could set up at the campgrounds for at least one day as my shop is not very big. I will spread the word around here and amongst some makers from Florida-- It will be vacation time then and I know that some would like to show--Sandy

Sandy,
I know Chuck is planning to attend and bringing his wife. He also said he would try an get Pat to attend.
I believe Jerry said (on another thread) he would make an effort if no conflicts pop up.
Not sure my wife will make it (Sewing Guild thingy that same weekend) and she's very active in the Atlanta Chapter. I'll be there though. May come a little early and go trout fishing with Mark (if I can remember how).
I think a group of scouts are planning to come by for a while and would really enjoy a demo from the master if it's not to much gear for you to transport - I'd be glad to help in any way I can.
Let me know.

Thanks, I'll get with John and see what we can work out. Do you mean little sheath making or making little sheaths? I got a 1.25" bowie that needs a sheath if you have enough leather on hand (heh heh). That Ghurka is still running around naked too!
