thomas high contrast damascus
Dear forum readers,
I have a question about which temp to heat treat thomas high contrast damascus . The steels are 1075, 0-1, and 19C5VA. In the information sheet the temps are 1475F for the 1075 and the O-1 but 1680F for the 19C5VA. Which temp shall I use to this steel??? Very grateful for answers. Regards Anderskniv |

In general, the highest temp will give the best results.
Cook the tool steel to be hard, and the lesser of the two (or 3) shouldn't matter. Same criteria for the temper too, temper the hardest steel in the mix. Hope it helps, Geno |
