TKS has a survival knife handle. It's made in 3 pieces. The first is threaded inside diamiter of 1/4 ( I drilled and taped to 1/2") outside is threaded so the tube screws onto it.Then part 3 is the buttcap. http://www.texasknife.com/vcom/index...th=587_604_825 This is the link.
Here's one I did works well.

Correct! you have to thread the tang. I screwed the 1st part of the handle on then ran a 1/2" nut on top of it. I ground the nut to about half its normal thickness. screwed the tube part of the handle on then filled the tube wit epoxy (Acra-Glas) till the nut was covered. If you looked into the hollow handle It looks like a smooth black bottom. If you get one of their handles you'll see what I mean. I cant make one from SS on the lathe for $9.00

After having two store bought hollow handle knives break on me I decided years later to make one that was one piece. I used 1 1/8" wrecking bar and bored out a 7/8" hole in one end. Then I forged out the blade and finished it with a titanium guard and 2011 aluminum pommel.

The pommel is hollowed out and has a small threaded plug so it can hold magnesium thermite. It can be ignited with fire steel.
