Etching equipment
As someone who always likes to have a go at home building his equipment I would like to have a go at building an electro-chemical etching unit, Does anyone have any details or plans, circuits etc. I have some experiance with electronics so following a cicuit is not a problem. What are the chemicals used to etch on stainless steel ? Andy.. |

Andy, I still have the plans for the one I built. If I had a scanner, I would post them here. It is really simple, and if you email me your address I will mail you copies (yes, I know you are in the UK) unless someone wants to scan and post them for me. Brett |

Scanning
Hi. I've got a scanner, and I'd be more than happy to scan the plans for you. Do you have a file preference (.jpg?.tiff?)? Please drop me an email: boybacon@jefnet.com www.homestead.com/baconboy P.S. The web site is a little outdated, but it's still kind of fun. |

Re: Scanning
George, Your plan looks good, I've got the charger and banana plugs. Having a hard time finding carbon, would graphite be okay? Probably not-too soft. It's nice to know I'm a block of carbon away from etching. Thank you! I have a 6V-12V switch, 6V @12A or 12V @6A (same power). I'll try them both. Bill |

Etching Plans
Hi Guys. The plans have been received. I've just got to find the time to scan them. I'll let you know when it happens. I've got a newborn in the house (Dec. 13th, 2000), and he's been more work/fun/time than I ever imagined. Computer time has suffered because of it. I'll try and get it done this weekend, and I'll let you know where you can find the scans. --Boybacon Eric |
