Knife Display
Just guessing that this would fit in this area, did a search but couldn't find it...
how do you guys display your Blades? i have looked around online but cant find anything suitable, I was hoping for a sort of layered box with slide out glass topped shelves so that they can be easily viewed. but not easily picked up and messed with - Too many people pick them up and mess about with them, prime example my father cut his thumb on a folded steel katana by touching the blade edge thanks |

I simply lay them out ,I use wood holders to set the knives at a 45deg. angle. Then place band-aids at various points on the table.I find knives in cases are a little intimidateing.Like you have to have permission to touch one.On an open table its more friendly.Besides when people pick one up you automaticly have that connection.(Its easyer for a child to walk away from a puppy in a cadge than one they've picked up.quote:my father)

i get what you mean, but the ones i will be storing are not going to be out for everyone to get there grubby hands on the meain reason for the case will be to keep them safe.
only problem i am having is that most places are in the US, where as i am in the UK, Knife blades and supplies are ok as i usually order in bits - but one purchase ended up costing me $200 for shipping then customs charged me $150 |

Are you talking about a displaycase for a collection,or display for sale at a show?I know laws in the UK may be different than laws here.

I use wooden sticks with slots cut in them to hold the knives at about a 45 deg angle and have them in a glass display case.
