AC, does that mean you have received your DVD already? I guess you survived that storm that was in your area a couple days ago ...

I enjoyed the visit too, Rob, and the squirrels were asking about you. Seems they liked the taste of your feet, go figure. I sometimes refer to them as the Wauconda Piranha.

I double checked after you left just to be sure my anvil was still there. Yup, all good ....

Ray, thanks very much for doing the video! Although I already built my own forge, I plan on a future forced air vertical forge build and your section on blowers will definitely save me money and has given me great ideas! Any newbie who plans on making a forge needs to watch your CD! Thanks again!

Thanks for the plug, Tony!

One thing I didn't mention in the video that Austin made me think of - he pointed out that at one point I was wearing a denim shirt "just like everybody who does one of these videos". Well, that's true and there's a reason for that too.

If you're going to play with fire make sure the clothes you wear are 100% cotton, absolutely not polyesther or nylon or other synthetics of that type. Cotton won't melt into your skin, can't flare up and burn in a flash. You may also notice that at a different place in the video I'm wearing a brown shirt. That one is a very expensive Carhardt specialty shirt design particularly to protect the wearer from sparks and flames without igniting. A plain cotton shirt and pants are plenty good enough but this shirt was a Christmas present and it definitely works as advertised.

Leave nothing to chance, be safe ....

Thanks for your support guys! Now, if I could just figure out what to do with all this money. It comes down to a new pair of socks or another bag of peanuts (as if I had any real choice in the matter) ....
