tomato slicer, take 1,
Needed something to slice up tomatoes for the puree; this is 440C, 60+ HRC, .060 thick. the serrations are from my dremel, they could be a lot deeper. the handle is the horse stall mat rubber. i like this horse stall stuff over the neoprene i tried a long time ago. I put my horse stall rubber on to the steel with loctite 326 and was real happy with how it adhered. back to the serrations. i've been scared to scallop the edge prior to heat treat due to warpage fears, but next time i'm going to try it. A lot of firsts in this knife; this thing won't win the beauty contest; I sure learned a lot from this knife and it'll cut up 50+ roma tomatoes in no time. thanks for looking
