The Forge Building DVD is ready

My forge building DVD is ready! The information is aimed at first time forge builders and includes:

Forge bodies and how to build them fast and cheap

How to build a simple venturi burner

How to build a forced air burner

What to use for a blower and how to recognize what will work and what won't

How to build your own blower

How to build a gate valve

Several example forges are shown

In the video we build a forge body and a venturi burner. Then, we build a forced air burner and both burners are shown working in the body we built. The actual build time for both burners and the body took less than two hours once the materials were gathered. The video runs for about 95 minutes and lists sources for materials if you want to buy materials and, in most cases, also shows how you can scrounge or build something yourself that works as well as what you would buy. This venturi forge easily gets hot enough for heat treating and the forced air forge will heat treat or weld small billets. The methods shown in this video will work for a forge of any reasonable size, these are real forges and not simply a 1 or 2 brick tiny forge.

This is a DVD complete with menus, not a CD. It will play on your PC or on your DVD player and TV.

If you would like a copy, Paypal $12 to knives@rayrogers.com Be sure to select the option that says you are buying a product and not just sending me money for the heck of it or Paypal won't include your address which I need to send your DVD. If you don't have a Paypal account then send an email to the same address and we'll go from there ....

Damon's shipped today already.. I taped Austin's copy to a squirrel and pointed it in his direction so I'm sure it will arrive pretty soon if he remembers to set out a bowl of peanuts ...

No, I sent yours by regular mail. With the holiday weekend coming up it will probably take an extra day or two but I would guesstimate that you should certainly have it by next Wednesday and probably sooner. On the other hand, we're talking about a gubment operated business so you might have been better off with the squirrel. Only time will tell...

This is awesome Ray. I have built a couple forges and haven't been happy with the way they performed so getting some help from some one I respect like you is going to be great! PP sent!
