Very nice clean work. Someone will get a real prize. Can say I have never seen spalted Magnolia (would have guessed maple from the pics). I'm sure it's stabilized, very punky otherwise.

Thanks all. The knife ended up raising $300 to fund the charity dinner (strangely enough $300 was the exact amount needed to fully fund the event).
I bought a few slabs from a wood guy on a Facebook page I belong to, he said spalted magnolia. It might not be but I loved the look of it and the price was worth it whatever it is. I stabilized it myself with cactus juice, so I have quite a few sets of scales in a few different colors. |

Beuatiful wood. I like everything about that knife. Just a winner all around in my book, my kind of knife!

jdale, excellent knife with clean flowing lines. Workmanship is superb. I am sure that your handle scales are blackline spalted maple. I happen to use a lot of that wood that I get from a wood supply place out of Oregon.
