keeper strap
morning gents...like to hear how you guys put a keeper strap on a stacked sheath...I
usually integrate it when I cut out the pattern, but this is some heavy leather..looking for something a little more flexible. All ideas appreciated...Tom |

maybe I should have started with something more basic like"how do I make a knife?"

By a stacked sheath. Do u mean like a 3 piece sheath that has a front back and welt? Are you folding the belt loop over or cutting belt slots in a single piece of leather?

I sand about an inch and a half taper on the bottom of the loop and fold it over, and glue it....glue the welt in place, then the top, and sew it all up...

Easiest thing is to add a couple of snaps. You can make a leather strip to fit after the rest is finished.
