New guy here.

Hope this is the correct way to use the forum.

I am wondering if anyone has seen another sheath like the one that came with this Randall #2-7?

Hi Tom!

Welcome to the forums!

From your photo of the front of the sheath, it looks like a non-Randall custom job. However, it would be better if you could post a photo of the back, or at least tell us what it looks like.

It's a very neat looking sheath regardless of the maker.

David

Tom,
...Welcome to the forum. Very nice knife and sheath. The BIG question is whether that is a tooled and conchoed Sullivan custom Randall Sheath or a copy of a tooled and conchoed Sullivan Randall sheath. The stamp or lack thereof on the back of the sheath will likely answer the question.

I want you to take a look at the grind lines on this #2 - 8" maroon micarta. Outstanding and great photography to show them off too!

Thanks,

Seussbrother

Thanks, guys!

Being new at this I'm not sure what to look for.
There are two stampings on the back of the sheath, the Randall logo and a Sullivan logo.

Sorry for the quality of the image. I spend $$$ on firearms and knives, not cameras.

Hi Tom!

Thanks for the info and photo showing the back of the sheath.

The good news is that you have an authentic Randall custom sheath made by the only RMK authorized sheathmaker, Sullivan's Holster Shop. This can only add to the value of the knife!

As Jeff and Allan have said, it's a beautiful package!

David

Thanks, David.

I was never a big fan of the model 2 untill I saw this one. The sheath was the big attraction, mainly because it was different from anything I had seen before. Now I am a #2 convert!

My other two Randalls are a #14 SS with a nickel silver double #1 guard, stag grip with finger groves and a #1-7 SS with a nickel silver guard and stag grip. Both from the early '90's (I am told).

I also have on order from Nordic Knives a #5-7, carbon steel blade, double brass guard and butt cap, brass & black spacers and leather grip with r/h finger groves. It will be delivered April next year. This knife will be my working/hunting/always there knifie.
