Look whats on the way!

I know it's not a knife, but it's the first NEW vehicle that Cindy and I will own in our lives.....scary as heck shelling out this kind of $$, but with Cindy working at our local Ford dealership, the saving are too good to pass up.

Just got the VIN today, and they are projecting it to be here in early April.
(yep! I'm excited!)

ED, Very nice choice, I believe that You and Cindy will very much enjoy your new F150. I have enjoyed Ford vehicles for many years and as for those that poke fun at Ford, as my Mom told me when I was a kid "Don't mind them they're just jealous" Enjoy Buddy

Jim

Thumbs up I can see you just cannot part.....

with old Brownie's color scheme!

I like it, a lot. So, is Cindy going to allow you to put some custom decals on it, like ED's Toy?

Congrats Ed!
Dana

You guys that know me, know it just had to be brown! Between that fact, and the ecoboost engine (rated at 21 MPG) I knew this was the truck I wanted.
I'm actually gona do it up the same way the Toyota is now.... color matched topper, orange striping, and lower 1/3 of the body will be "bullhide" coated.

The Toyota will be going up for sale as soon as I know the new truck is near. The Toyota has 20K miles on a TOTAL overhual (the only parts that I didn't rebuild were the front and read differentials) I've got over 12K invested in the Toyota, and am going to put it on the market for $5,500.

Ed, Nice truck. The ride in these new ones make you feel like your just kind of floating along. And that kind of mileage can't go wrong. So now I have to ask did you put this up on the shop computer for a screen saver

I did Bing! (it's the screen saver for now)

We were going to wait another couple of months before ordering the rig, but from what I can tell, Ford is only allocating so many of the EB engines to each dealership. Last week the salesman we've been working with called me and told me that they had received 3 allocations for the F150 with the EB engine...and that if we wanted one before mid/late summer, we had better go ahead and order it....so we did. With Cindy working at the dealership, we're a different animal for the salesmen...they don't make any money off selling rigs to employees, so they have nothing to gain one way or the other...which is why I took him at his word.

Nice rig. I have really enjoyed my F250. I will never be without a REAL truck again. Got rid of a Ford Ranger with over 300k on it. It is nice to be able to tow a trailer or boat when I want. I have even towed a mini excavator.

Take Care

Congrats Ed, you done good, gonna be curious to hear what you think of that EB engine when you get it. The ranch got a 2010 F-150 last year, very nice ride. I'm kinda like Chuck I drove "little" trucks for 15 years now been in full size rigs for a few and hope I never have to go back to the little guys again...

It'll be a change for me too. I've been driving Toyota trucks for the last 15 years. If that EB engine gets the kind of MPG that Ford claims, I'll be thrilled. Heck, coming out of the Toyota with 124 hp, and getting into something with 365 hp will seem like driving a rocket to me!

Unless it's a lemon, I would imagine we'll keep it until the wheels fall off.

Congrats! There's nothing like the feel you get from a new car/truck. Living where you do, a good 4x4 is almost a necessity.

I haven't had one with that kind of HP since the 60's. I'm jealous. Now when you haul something "really heavy" your only concern will be if you put a scratch in the new paint.

Congratulations Ed. Now you can stop buying the 'new car smell' air fresheners........you got the smell coming!

LOL! That is a good one! If they made an air freshener in "Wet Labrador" scent, I could offer my truck as a "secret formula" for that....and I'd be set for life!
