Quite the talent for good work, and a good eye. If this is your first, then upcoming, you (we?) are on the way to a VERY gratifying series of knives!

Thanks for the clear post!

Coop

Wow. That is a great looking knife there. You did an excellent job fitting the curve of the two handle materials. I assume those are carbon fiber and silver twill G10? Nice touch matching the curve of the handle into the sheath.

Are you sure this is your first kit? You made several from scratch before, perhaps? Looking forward to seeing more of these.

absolutely right. CF and silver twill

no, this is my first kit, and first try at knifemaking.

(I was simultaneously working on a bali from scratch. my very first attempt at blade grinding. i picked up this Oregon skinner project because the bali was so long in the making because i spend most of the time acquiring tools and what not, that i sort of lost the vision of the project.
its been kinda put on hold until i can build a micro forge to do the heat treat. )

but i do however have some past experience in a way, just not knifemaking.
God, for his reasons, saw fit to bless me with a good pair of hands. my learning curve on a new tool is relatively short.

That is extremely nice!!! I like the whole combination!

Whatever "it' is, I think you might have "it"!
