Copper and Leather
How does copper react to veg. tan leather over time, any problems? I know that copper and latigo, does not react very well over time. I'm working on a sheath with a copper overlay, would you recomend sealing the copper? |

Sweany, in my experience, copper turns green regardless of what kind of leather it's attached to. If you seal/laquer it, the first chip in the finish, or the first point where it wears through to the metal, will allow this process to begin, so it's a bit of an uphill battle. |

Thanks, I remember seeing old harness hanging on the wall. Most often it would turn green as you say, probably a high maintenece item ,huh. |
