Tuesday

Byrdguy,
I am still getting a few emails with number selections, and I am in Bama. I will announce the winner Tuesday evening. Everyone should be back from the weekend and have submitted their guesses by then. Best, The "Captain"

and the winners is.....

The "lucky" number chosen was #8. Byrdguy finished second with a guess of #13, only 5 away. The winner, choosing #4 and being only 4 away is: Tom, aka "gunner-n-deuce", I think. Tom: Please send me an email to: CAPTSTANABACK@aol.com and we'll hammer out the details. Congratulations!! Best, The "Captain"

Tom,
...Congrats.
Jeff

edited to remove any offensive or unsportsmanly references to Tom's parentage or his resemblance to a radiator cap nosed, skillet faced goriila or the fact that it is unfair that he is getting my knife.

Guys, thanks much. I'm grateful and lucky. Just like that blind pig that finds an acorn under that big oak tree. That ill be a most excellent addition to my modest collection. Thanks again,Tom # 3081

Earlier in this Posting, I mentioned that I had a Model #4 x 6" on Order with the Captain.
Well, it showed up this week & here it is. It was ordered as per the following Specs."

Nickle Silver Single Hilt - Flat / Square Top
All Black Spacers
Leather handle w Border Patrol Shape
Duralumin Butt Cap - Thin & Rounded Off

I look forward to putting this to work this Fall & Winter as my "Deer Skinner", to take off their "Little Suit".

Cool Tool!!

Mike,
Glad you like your new "tool"! This is a good example for all of our "builds". Whenever we discuss a "border patrol", verses a #22 style handle and butt cap we have one example to look at now, readily available!
Mike: Did you find the "drain hole"?? Best, The "Captain"

Nothing puts a finishing touch on a build thread like a photo of what was actually built with the collaboration of so many people (Great idea, Cap!). Ta Da:

Quite exquisite if we all do say so ourselves

Congratulations again, Tom!
