1084 vs. 5160
I am sure it is a matter of opinion more than anything else, but I just finished forging a blade out of 1084 and it seemed much easier than the 5160. I had less hammer marks, the forged blade was smoother and the results were much better. Is the 1084 easier to work and shape than the 5160? And if so, why?
