..on down the "newbie road" we go....

Here are some pics of my latest endeavors..... #1 & 2 are already sold, the last one is my personal knife- skinned and processed the first deer of the year with it a while back. Don't know which was more fun, an 8-pt bow kill or getting to use the knife I made on him!

Great looking knives Dennis.

I can see why they are already sold. I can also see you've definitely developed a personal style.

Really nice!

THANKS for the KIND WORDS GENTLEMEN!!

Specs- as requested:
#1,2 & 4 are apx. 6 1/2" oal, 1/8" and 5/32" stock.
#3 is 5 1/2" oal, 1/4" stock with a tapered tang. (slightly)
They are all sole authorship, stock removal from P.G. 0-1 tool steel.

I was particularly pleased with the bolsters on the two. Betcha can't find the pins Even blind hogs find a nut every now and then.

#3 is my first attemp at antler handle. I used an old shed my buddy gave me. I mis-judged my scale thickness and had to grind away much more of the "character" than I intended- Anybody have a 'trick' for doing that? Also, the shed had been laying around for over a year but I still had shrinking issues.

I pre fit stag scales. To keep as much charecter as possible I grind the flat side(inside) till I get the handle at the desired thickness. Then install handles and profile to shape. This leaves alot of the stag grain showing.
