Crocus Cloth Polishing Belts

Did anyone tried CROCUS CLOTH POLISHING BELTS?
Are they suppose to be a substitute for a buffer?

haven't tried the crocus cloth, but I've tried the felt polishing belts with a little white compound from Jantz and they are awesome. I had trouble using my dremel to polish/buff as it would never come out even, the belt comes out even and imo, is better and definitely safer.

I have a 1/3 HP real buffer but after reading horror stories about it I'd rather use these belts if they work as good as buffer.

What speed would be applicable for this type of belt ? And how long does it last? I would gladly exchange my buffer for this method if it's worth it.

I used one on my 1x30 grizzly grinder 3400rpm??? Works great, but the platen i glued on to make belts fit better came loose and broke it, so I don't know how long they last.
