Personal knife

This is one I made and carry. ATS-34, 4" blade, 8.5" overall, stainless hardware.

Nice knife i like the finish on the blade and the stalilized burl realy stands out but the fasteners are unique to me and i like that. Did you make them yourself?

Thanks.....

Yes I made the fasteners and also the tool to turn them.
I am a machinist and this is the second knife I made but I do not consider myself a knife maker. I enjoy the challenge and also carrying something I made.

Very clean lines. I like the bolts too. There are a lot of people that would consider you a knife maker.

you're definitely a knife maker. that's a gorgeous knife. is that handle dyed buckeye or maple burl? it looks awesome. i think i'd have a hard time putting a knife that good looking through some of the beatdowns my other knives get.

Thank you

for the compliments. The wood is highly figured box elder , double dyed. Knife making is very challenging and I enjoy the challenge. For machining I know a lot, for knife making their is much to learn. The stabilized handle is more durable than I thought it would be and it's always banged against something. I use my knives, never baby them.
This one originally had a green canvas micarta handle and a bead blasted blade but I wanted something a little more fancy. Your comments are most appreciated.

Thanks, I machined the logo into the blade before it was hardened.
Previous to this I had machined the logo into the handle of the knife.
