My KITH submission

Here's my submission. The idea behind the kith is to try something new, since using leather/narrow tang isn't new I had to come up with a personal challenge. So, I had this old file made by Black King (never heard of them, obtained from an estate with a number of Black Diamonds) and wanted to do something special. I've never attempted a sub-hilt. First, as with all unknown files, was to test the steel. After passing the test I cut the stamped tang off and began grinding the blade in the hardened state.
It was then given a soft back draw, tempered @ 430F the guard was fitted and 5/16 threads brazed on the tang. A threaded insert was brazed to the files tang to create the pommel. The handle is stag/leather/stabilized buckeye. It still needs a little cleaning up.
All the steel is from files (except the threaded stuff )

Whoopee! Our first entry and a pretty cool looking one at that. Now all we need is a horizontal picture of the knife with a ruler in the picture and a plain background. Email the picture to me (so I have your email address for later) and include the basic steel and handle info. I'll use that to start the KITH page.

Will there be a sheath with that?

Are we including sheaths? If so, then yes.

If the knife is of a type that would normally have a sheath then supplying an appropriate sheath is in order....
