"Super Skier"

Wanting to learn how to ski, I bought a set of skis off a guy that was leaving.they were.J.C.Higgins, no less.
There was a small ski slope on the base, and some of the boys that were from the northern
states said they would teach me everything I needed to know...I think they just wanted to see me fall down...My first efforts left a lot to be desired.
One time, I was coming down the hill and got into the ruts in the snow that led to a small ski
jump about four ft tall.I knew I was going off that ramp whether I wanted to or not, so I threw
away those sharp-pointed ski poles so I wouldn't land on them...busted my old butt big-time!
They convinced me to try it again, and to lean forward, like I'd seen them do...so I did, and
this time I plowed up about 20 ft of snow with my nose...took me a long time to get the hang
of it, went through a lot of Ben-Gay rub....
