Induction forge melting.

My new induction forge has been working great for melting some non-ferrous metals. I used a few 1" pieces of 1/4" copper grounding wire to make a small ingot. With a little clean up and some cold hammering it can be a guard.

My small graphite crucible works great with induction. On my first try I got a good weld with nine quarters.

My daughter also had fun with melting brass, copper, bronze and silver and dropping it into water. She got a few cool looking pieces to use for necklace pendants.
