the Operation Iraqi Freedom edition of the M16 14ZSF
What are your opinions on this knife?
I just recently bought one at a gun show for $61. I like it, it is well constructed... Also, do you guys think that since they're limited edition, they will appreciate in value? |

I am over in Kuwait now, and I talked to a guy (my buddy) who read about the OIF in a mag. I think they will become collectors. They are good knives I wish they were not foriegn made, but I like their designs.
I understand they don't sell the OIF in the states? I went by the PX last night, and they have a batch of the Desert Cruisers (OIF marked) for $54, and a fixed blade marked OIF for $74. I will buy a Cruiser for sure. My buddy bought three different models and is going to leave them in the package with the reciept from AFFES Arifjan, Kuwait attached. He claims that makes them worth more. I have no idea how many they marked. I will get one though. what the hell. I gotta spend it on something. I think they will go up in years to come. The M16 14ZSF
Hi Guys,
I am new to this forum but a definite knife lover. I have been collecting CRKTs lately and really like the whole M16 series. I have just ordered the M16 14ZSF and am waiting for it to arrive. I have owned the smaller M16 12Z for about a year and find it to be almost bombproof. Sure am looking forward to its big brother. As for collectability, there are a lot of the OIFs offered over here in Canada and in the US. This may affect values but if you take out a brand new one in the box a few years from now its bound to have some value. Comparable in usage I have also got the Lightfoot M1. Now theres a knife. Solid on its own, the LAWKS makes it even better. Kinda bulky to carry but a great product. Have a great day guys. Maybe we can chat more later. Mark |
