Assembly complete!
Thanks for all the info guys, it was very helpful in completing this knife!
Blade made from W2 from NJSB, nickel-silver guard and pommel from bar stock, African blackwood scales. Used J-B Weld on the guard and pommel, and T88 with nickel-silver threaded rivets on the scales. Jeff B knife 020-1.jpg Jeff B knife 021-1.jpg Attachment 15919 Now have to finish sharpening the blade, and make the sheath, then can deliver it! I'm impressed with the fit on the guard, handle and pommel. Is the pommel only attached with JB Weld? I like that blackwood too. Nice job!

Thanks for all the kind words guys!
No, there are also two pins through both the guard and the pommel. I use clear epoxy on the pins, crush rivet them into the holes, then file them flush. |

Okay, well that's what I thought. I don't use guards but knew they were pinned on. The JB Weld discussion confused me a bit.
