First Hollow Grind Help

This is my first try at Hollow Grind. Everything was going well until I noticed that the tip was thinner than the rest of the blade. I know that's to be expected. I fixed that problem than I noticed that the first inch of the blade looked convex. After trying to fix that now I still have the convex and the tip is .035" and at the plunge is .071. The blade 1084 / .200" thick and has been heat treated. The OAL is 8.25" the edge will be 3.75" Can I do anything to fix the problem or should I just put the handle and edge on it and say lesson learned? Please help me understand what I can do or could have done different? Thanks in advance
