I think pyroceram is also used as fireplace door glass. If you have a custom fireplace shop around you could have some cut, or maybe they have some scrap pieces that would fit the bill.

I use 1/4" HT'd O1 so I can bolt it to my platen. When it wears out I will use it as a template to drill and countersink four new holes. I paid about $8 for the piece and had some left over.
