No Experience whatsoever
I have zero, zilch. nada, no experience in making knives. I am just looking to get started assembling a finished knife kit. Where do I find beginner, Level I, knife kits that are assembly only, requiring the utmost in minimal tools and experience? Then we will see if the bug bites me and if I want to persue this in a more serious manner.

knifekits.com kits are very well made and they have some good looking knives. I got a DDR III kit from them a few years ago that didn't seem to require any special tools other than a driver for the screws.

Welcome ETX!
Ahhhh....fresh blood. Hope you're up for a fun ride...and there's no getting off once you get started. Knifekits.com is definitely the way to go...Hands down, they have the best kits...and the best support system. Here's the site: http://www.knifekits.com/kk_1mainframe.htm All you need to get started are a couple of inexpensive Torx ####### (if you wanna make folders), a few packs of sandpaper (which you can pick-up from any local auto supply), and some "elbow grease." That should get you a very respectable, good-looking knife when you're done. What you choose to do from there is totally up to you. More importantly...you're gonna have a lot of fun...you'll pick up plenty of new skills...and you're gonna meet some nice people along the way, who are happy to help in any way they can. Most questions you may ask have already been discussed in detail over in the kit knife forum (I'm one of the moderators there): http://www.knifenetwork.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=19 There's a ton of info that goes back quite a few years. But if you want answers to anything don't be shy about asking....Trust me, we've all been there and there are no stupid questions. Looking forward to seeing how you progress. Good luck!!
