Laminated carbon steel with bog oak

This blade (made by Stephane Anken) has grown on me while working on the knife, which may be the reason I possibly went a little overboard with some details.
But that only shows how much I like Stephane`s blade.
The handle is made with stabilized bog oak, brass, pewter and vulcanized fiber, the piece in the middle is stabilized "swedish spalted white bean".

The sheath is my usual kind with a retaining strap, only this time with a white bean detail on the strap.

My hopes for this knife is that it will become a trusty user.
The blade is certainly made with that in mind.
The handle shape and size should also be up to it.
Now I only need to decide if it is a keeper or not

All comments are welcome and appreciated.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers
/Magnus

I agree, the blade is a beauty, demanding a fine handle and leather housing. But you've added so much wonderful work it's hard to get my eye to focus back on the blade

Spectacular rig, and if it really is going to be a user, it will be the most handsome one in camp

Mike

incredible.

a good knife is like a a good painting, it keeps your eyes moving, however they always return to the focal point, or in this case focal points.

love the angular sculpted handle, it does look like it would be a compfortable user.
And of course your leather work is amazing, the sheath always seems to belong with the knife.

If I too had the money, DragonC and I would probably end up fightin' over who got to knock on that door!

Gary.

Every once in a while, a knife comes along that just floors me. It doesn't happen very often, maybe once a year. This is one of those knives, just beautiful lines. Congradulations!

edited to add: The leather sheath is first class also!

Thank you all very much, I truly appreciate your comments.

More knives with blades from Stephane Anken will soon be made. Some of which I have designed the blade. (Oh how I would like to be able to forge my own blades.)

The knife above has been sold.

Thanks again
/Magnus
