Pablo Picasso
Thanks for the comments Wayne, Coop
The coaster actually is a jpg of a Picasso painting, copied and pasted to the red background. Hope he doesn't mind. __________________ Regards, Fred "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds". Albert Einstein |

What make and model camera did you use?

Sony DSC F717
Tom:
So far I am extremely happy with the camera. I'm still getting use to it but so far it's great in all respects. The control over various settings allows for a great amount of freedom in the final result. My lighting needs help but I'm working on that. __________________ Regards, Fred "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds". Albert Einstein |

Fred,
That picture looks great and it is a very good looking knife. I have a Sony F-707 which I have had for a couple of years and still have not taken the time to learn about all that it is capable of doing. Keep saying I'm going too....my how time flies when your having fun. I sure am a Sony fan this is my second Sony. R.R. |

Sony cameras
Hey Ramsey: One of the reasons that I chose the 717 was the great reputation that it's predecessor the 707 enjoyed. I loved my old Sony Mavica but of course the technology moved on. I bought this camera to take pictures of my knives but it has rekindled my interest in photography in general so I'll be doing a whole new generation of family portraits.
I don't particularly like the download software that came with it and have been using the windows XP application. Does anyone have any suggestions for downloading pictures. Eventually I want to get a memory stick reader to use instead of the camera. __________________ Regards, Fred "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds". Fred,
I purchased a Sony mouse with the memory stick reading capabilities and just switched out the old mouse. It is very easy to use and download the images. I like using windows for storing pictures. I download to windows programs and also keep quite a few on file in my documents. as well as on CD and a couple other places for image hosting. If you want to free-up the memory stick it is easy to save to CD and then delite the pic from the stick. Seems like the 64 memory stick never gets full. Richard |

Thats very good, Fred.
Most interesting and well-made knife and a great shot to show it off. It actually looks cute ! Very showy... Is that your G2 Nitrolon ? I have 2 (one for me, one for my wife) and they are great. Mine has the P61 120lumen light assembly to light up the night sky !! Boys and their toys ... Jason.

G2 Nitrolon
Jason, Thanks. 3 things man must have.
1. Good flashlight 2. Sharp knife 3. Faithful dog. not necessarily in that order. yea, it's a great light. I have a couple big gators living in the canal behind my house. When I take the dog out at night I like to shine it to see if anything is looking back at me. Ramsey: I picked up a Sony Memory Stick reader today. Makes life much easier. __________________ Regards, Fred "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds". Albert Einstein |

Pablo Picasso
Hey Darrel:
The coaster portion of that picture evidently rekindled old memories for several who have seen it. I guess I've had a day or two like that myself. Anyway here is the way it looked before photoshop. It is a representation of a painting by Pablo Picasso. Thanks. __________________ Regards, Fred "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds". Albert Einstein |
