Bird and Trout
Here is a bird and trout I just finished. I used 80CRV2 with a brass bolsters and stabilized black palm scales. This is the first I've done tapered tang on.

The knife looks very nice, I hope you'll have an equally nice sheath to go with it. It appears that you have some trouble with your maker's mark though. Get some Semi-Chrome polish and clean the mark with it to remove the cloudiness and the mark will look sharper. When you put the stencil on the blade tape it down with Scotch tape. Put the tape over all of the stencil except for the mark itself. This will prevent those stray bits of black from showing up around the mark ...

I taped it down with Blue Painter's tape. That didn't work very well. I'll try the scotch tape and polishing it better. Probably shouldn't do this when your tired and in a hurry. No sheath yet, but soon. __________________ Mark |

blue tape wont work good for a makers mark its like paper so the electrolyte liquid could soak through it a lil something like scotch brite or even electrical tape is best as the liquid wont make it through.....rememebr electricity runs through the electrolyte so anything that liquid touches can etch
