Lightbulb forge materials

anyone know where I can get small amounts of forge building materials. I can probably get the hard firebrick at the local fireplace store.Thanks

I went to a local refractories wholesaler and talked to the guy at the desk. Told him I was making a little forge about this size by that size. He went in the back and brought out a good sized plastic bag. He said "it's your lucky day" and handed it to me. About 6 sq. ft of 1", 2700? ceramic blanket.

Never hurts to ask.
