bandsaw trouble
I have one of those small, inexpensive, horizontal metal cutting bandsaws that is sold at sites such as Harbor Freight. They are often defective at delivery, but I got this one almost free...and the blade is difficult to keep on the cast iron wheels. Is there some corrective trick one can employ to make this thing barely useful? Thanks for any guidance. Hadley Perdue

Without seeing what it's doing it's hard to find the corrective measure. I'm sure it has tracking on the top wheel, it should be free to push the wheel in or out, sometimes they are locked down too tight and the wheel won't track. The bottom wheel may have a a key way this is coming loose, and you'll have to make sure it's secure..
Like I said, hard to tell without laying an eyeball on it. __________________ Bob Jankowski <>< Jank Custom Knives Burleson Tx. www.jankcustomknives.com For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. |
