Where next ?

Looking at some knife shots recently I felt I should be doing better.

Because some of my work is what I would call Knife Sculpture I cant shoot down on it
so I shoot from the front with a horizon.

I am looking to better my still life lens..........and was thinking of a micro 60mm

but Do I stick with continuous light or make the jump to studio strobe....with something like elinchroms.

I currently use a D90......softbox..bounce boards ..mirrors etc.

Whats the next step up ............comments please

a link to some of my knives mostly shown on the british blades forum
