My Anniversary - Thanks to the Forums

Hey all, I just wanted to say thanks for all your help. The forums are my main outlet/exposure to other makers. I have not done much networking here in Michigan, just too easy to not leave the house/shop and bounce ideas off of you all.

This coming Thursday (5/29/03) will be my One year anniversary date for when I forged my first Damascus blade. If my memory serves me right, I started researching, experimenting, and buying equipment in December of 2001 and built my first forge in January 2002.

There is no doubt in my mind that I would not be where I am today without your help. I extend all of my sincerest thanks to all of you whether you have replied to me directly or not. It is the entire community here that makes this place special.

O.K. enough of the mushy stuff If you are interested, I put together a little HTML that shows just about everything that I have done in the past year. I don't have alot of dates in there but all the pictures of knives/blades are in chronological order.

It has been a great ride so far, and I can't wait to see what happens in the next year. Hell, maybe I will actually get some pins to fit in the scales without epoxy showing around them.

Thanks Again-

Sean

All I can say is WOW

Anyone who hasn't looked yet just has to go and see Sean's 'little' presentation. More Damascus than you can shake a stick at.

great stuff.

Roger

Holy cow!

That's amazing, even for someone who's been at it a lot longer. I can't wait to see what comes out of your shop in the next year.

That cable damascus one with the jade handle is still my favorite...

Sean,

We're proud of you. The work you've been showing is awesome. The one thing I like about your work is that you have style in your grinds. Not just a straight lined blade, but some sex appeal!

Boys ... I say follow Sean to an upcoming Mastersmith rating one of these days!

Alex
